Manual beach clean-up
From March to June, schoolchildren and the general public are encouraged to take an active role in protecting the coastline, by taking part in the “Chantiers citoyens” (citizen projects) organized by SMLL after the high spring tides.
Each coastal municipality organizes these activities for schoolchildren and/or the general public, according to its own schedule. The goal is to gain manual access to areas that have not been cleaned mechanically (such as the 10-metre strip at the foot of the dune).
Equipment, gloves, and bags will be provided on the day of collection.
Schools wishing to participate must register with the town hall and fill in a dedicated document to benefit from free transportation.
